Phillip Tolbert

Phillip is an engineer in training at Toole Design’s Raleigh office, where he assists in the design of construction plans. He is interested in the intersection between multimodal transportation and stormwater. Phillip has experience in the design of roadways, traffic calming measures, greenway planning, and stormwater management in North Carolina through prior internships. His in-work specializations include plan sheets, sheet set management, and engineering calculations, which he applies to support more sustainable and connected communities. He believes that through local, focused action, widespread benefits to communities can be achieved.

Outside of work, Phillip enjoys playing volleyball, going to the gym, listening to local live music, and crafting mostly Asian and Latino dinner recipes.
